All out of state users were deactivated at year end 1995.  This 
action was posted during the summer, and there have been many postings 
concerning this matter since that date. 

        Our primary goal as a Free-Net is to provide information for our
local users.  Starting in 1995, a growing lack of resources seriously 
hampered our ability to meet that goal.  We decided that if we were going to 
continue to properly service our users, we had to limit our user base to 
NY state residents only.  Sorry that this is surprise to you, but the 
postings were there for you to read.
